Treat Yourself – It’s Luxury Yacht Time

Once reserved for the ultra-wealthy of the world, luxury yachts have seen an explosion of popularity over the last decade. An investigation by Allied Market Research estimates the market value to explode to just shy of $30million by 2027, nearly doubling since 2018. But you don't have to buy one to enjoy the endless possibilities they offer. In fact, a week charter can be just the right amount of luxury you need. After the last two summers, it might be time to consider treating yourself to something incredible for 2022.

The Epitome of Perfection

When it comes to the perfect holiday, a luxury yacht charter ensures that you are left wanting for nothing. Pristine finishes on the yachts, endless extras on board, and a way for you to connect with your friends and family on a holiday you will never forget - this has it all. Sure, it may not be something you can afford to do every year (but if it is, I am jealous). But it should definitiely be something you do at least once in your lifetime. Seeing the most magical locations on board an exquisite vessel - it is often the dream of many. In fact, if you time your charter right and choose a good location, it can often turn out to be as affordable as certain monohull or catamaran charters in high season!

Don't Be Intimidated

With luxury yachts, is often easy to think it is never achievable. Of course, if you choose a charter in the middle of August in Monaco, you are going to be paying big bucks. But, there are many extraordinary locations across the Mediterranean and beyond which can offer the same experience at a far better price. Take Split, for example. An enchanting city that proves popular for yacht charters every year is the perfect place to begin a luxury adventure. Thanks to a vibrant nightlife and lively atmosphere, this is an exceptional destination. And who doesn't love the sound of a charter with a water ski, snorkeling gears, and TV included in the price? The great thing about Croatia is you can still benefit from stellar weather well into October, when high season is over and prices are more affordable. It's worth considering if you want to achieve your dream.

Our tips for planning a luxury yacht charter:

  1. Get a group together

A luxury yacht is a big vessel, and there is no point in wandering around it with just one or two other people. Get the party going! Invite your friends, your family, your in-laws (if you get on)! This brings down the price and makes the whole experience truly remarkable.

2. Save, Save, Save

You don't need to be ready to book it this year, or even next year. In fact, planning ahead will give you more autonomy and flexibility when it comes to booking. A small amount saved every week goes a long way. Sure, you may be sick of cooking dinner every night, but when you're dining on the deck of your luxury yacht in Cannes I think you will be satisfied.

3. Choose an off-peak time

This advice goes for any yacht charter, especially in popular destinations like the South of France and Italy. By choosing dates that aren't in the middle of high season, you get better bang for your buck, and you avoid crowds of tourists. Sometimes October can be just as pleasant!

4. Contact your booking advisor

Don't be expected to organise everything by yourself. This can be a daunting task, one with lots to consider and choose. Your booking advisor has guided many people through the same situation, and will be more than happy to help with your search to achieve the luxury yacht charter of your dreams (within budget!).

There are endless reasons a luxury yacht charter is the right choice for you, and thanks to a broad range of bases to choose from, you can tailor your holiday to exactly how you want.
