Since 2017, our travel agency has been helping you plan both your cruise and your stay on land. We know how time-consuming and stressful vacation planning can be, especially when it comes to organizing a cruise: booking the boat with your crew, provisioning, arranging flights or transfers to reach the marina, choosing a skipper or checking the necessary permits and sailing license.
Our travel advisors are trained to support you from start to finish, ensuring a smooth and memorable vacation at sea, but also on land during your stopovers or a stay before or after your cruise.
We offer our clients two fully customizable packages to help plan your trip according to your preferences and budget:
SERENITY SERVICE
This package is designed for sailors who wish to book a flight to reach their cruise destination. Your vacation should feel like a vacation from the very start. No searching or stressing, just a smooth and enjoyable journey.
EXTENSION SERVICE
We offer a curated selection of the best places to stay near marinas and close to major tourist and cultural attractions. With a personalized land stay, you get to savor more of the destination, at your own pace, in your own style.
Sample Extension: Enhance Your Cruise in Greece with a Stay in Athens
After disembarking on Friday late afternoon at Alimos Marina in Athens, a private driver will pick you up and take you to the 18 MICON STR 4* hotel for a well-deserved night of comfort in the heart of the city.
Its close proximity to Athens’ historic center and lively atmosphere makes it the perfect base for an evening stroll through the charming streets. For dinner, we recommend the taverna Ama Lachei, where you can enjoy delicious local cuisine and soak in the vibrant energy of this ancient city.
The following day, your guide will meet you at your hotel, and off you go for a full day exploring the historic heart of Athens! Starting from the Plaka district, you’ll make your way to the Acropolis and its museum for an immersive journey into Ancient Greece. Your guide will help you discover these archaeological treasures while avoiding the crowds, offering a more intimate and less tiring experience.
You can continue the conversation and discoveries over a delicious lunch—either at the museum’s popular rooftop restaurant or at one of the many charming tavernas in the neighborhood.
Save some energy, as your guide will then take you on a scenic walk through the Pnyx and Filopappou Hills, eventually leading you to the bustling Monastiraki Flea Market. In the evening, we recommend enjoying a plate of crispy fried fish at Zisis, a well-loved and welcoming local taverna.
We recommend spending at least two days to truly experience Athens, but if time allows, a longer stay opens the door to even more remarkable excursions:
visit Delphi to explore the legendary Temple of Apollo, marvel at the Meteora Monasteries perched on their dramatic cliffs, or explore the Peloponnese, crossing the Corinth Canal and discovering the legendary and beautifully preserved Theatre of Epidaurus.
In short, the possibilities for visits and excursions are endless!
We invite you to speak with your GlobeSailor advisor if you’d like to enhance your cruise with a fully customizable land stay. Rates and availability will be sent to you by email within a maximum of 48 hours.
We work exclusively with trusted local partners and service providers, carefully selected for their professionalism and the quality of their on-site services.
See you soon and and happy sailing to all!
