The first decisive factor is of course the type of boat. Here is an idea of average prices for a daily rental:

• Sailing yacht: roughly €1,750 to €3,500 per week (i.e. €250 to €500 per day) depending on the year, size and equipment of the boat.
• Catamaran: more spacious and more comfortable, prices start at €3,000 per week (i.e. €420 to €600 per day)
• Motorboat: ideal for a quick outing or for exploring several beaches in a single day. From €150 per day. Bear in mind that fuel consumption will add to your budget.

• Mid-season (May-June and September): this offers the best value for money. Fewer boats on the water and at anchor, pleasant weather and more affordable prices. You may even be able to negotiate some attractive discounts!
• Low season (autumn-winter): ideal for tight budgets, with more choice (except for boats in winter storage!), but watch out for the weather conditions.

• Final cleaning: mandatory on many rentals, between €100 and €250 depending on the size of the boat.
• Optional extra equipment: outboard engine for the dinghy (around €100), paddleboard (€150), wakeboard (€200), safety net (€200), etc.
• Skipper, hostess: optional, depending on your needs. Please note that if a skipper is on board, their meals are at your expense. You need to include their provisions in your shopping.
• Provisioning: plan to stock up before boarding, especially with heavy items and food that keeps well. Allow €20 to €40 per person per day, excluding drinks.
• Marina: if you choose to moor at the pontoons of a port or marina on some nights, allow around €120 per night for a 40-foot sailing yacht in high season. This price gives you access to the port’s facilities (toilets, water, etc.) and to electricity to recharge the batteries.
• Taxes: some destinations charge tourist taxes or fees payable on site in certain protected nature reserves. Allow between €2 and €10 per person per day.
