There’s a moment on every sailing trip when it hits you. Maybe it’s waking up anchored in a turquoise bay with nothing but birdsong and the smell of freshly brewed coffee. Or watching the sun dip below the horizon from the foredeck while your skipper points out a hidden restaurant on the shore. That feeling — of total freedom, zero stress, and a new adventure waiting every morning — is what we look for when adding a new charter partner.
The history of More Sailing
It all started in 2009, when two friends from Sweden’s west coast travelled to Croatia for a week of sailing. One week turned into seven. By the time they came home, the idea was clear: sailing shouldn’t be reserved for people who own boats or hold licences. It should be for everyone.

Fifteen years later, More Sailing has grown into one of Scandinavia’s important sailing travel companies, with a fleet of over 60 sailboats, home marinas in both Croatia and Greece.
The Destinations
More Sailing operates in some of the Mediterranean’s most popular sailing grounds.

Croatia
The Dalmatian coast outside Split: Think crystal-clear bays, the lavender-scented island of Hvar, the unspoilt beauty of Vis, and the ancient walls of Korčula. The sailing area is sheltered, the distances are short, and every day brings a new island to discover.
Greece
The Ionian islands on the northwest coast: Authentic fishing villages, spectacular beaches, and the laid-back charm of Lefkada, Kefalonia, and Ithaca. The Ionian is known for gentle winds and calm seas, making it perfect for a relaxing week afloat.

Beyond the Mediterranean, More Sailing also offers cabin charters along the Swedish west coast, in the Caribbean, in Italy’s La Maddalena archipelago, and even Atlantic crossings for the truly adventurous.

What Makes Crewed Sailing Different
More Sailing’s core concept is simple: every boat comes with a professional skipper and a dedicated host(ess). The skipper handles navigation, safety, and sailing. The host takes care of meals, hospitality, and making sure every guest feels at home on the water.
That means no sailing experience is needed. No provisioning runs, no route planning stress, no wondering whether you’ve tied up correctly in the harbour. Those who want to get involved in the sailing are always welcome to take the helm, trim a sail, or learn the basics. But there’s never any pressure.
Breakfast and lunch are prepared fresh onboard each day, along with snacks and drinks throughout the afternoon. Evenings are spent exploring charming coastal villages on foot, with the crew recommending the best local restaurants for dinner.

Sailing for Every Kind of Traveller
There are dedicated trips for families with children, groups of friends, singles, and guests over 50 — each designed so you’ll be sailing with people in a similar stage of life. Private charters are available for those who want a boat to themselves, and the company also arranges corporate sailing events and team-building trips for groups of up to 100 people or more.
For experienced sailors who prefer to go it alone, More Sailing offers bareboat rentals from their own marinas in Croatia and Greece with well-maintained boats backed by 24/7 local support. You may choose between a wide range of monohulls and catamarans from 40 up to 54 feet of different shipyards.
The Scandinavian Touch
The company has a Scandinavian approach to hospitality, especially in the level of service: generous, reliable, and genuinely warm. Meals are taken care of. The crew are hand-picked not just for their skills, but for their ability to make people feel welcome.
As the founders like to say: “Happy crew, happy guests.” It’s a philosophy that shows from the first email to the last evening on board.
